Oh yes, your zodiac sign is not the only thing that makes you, you! In fact, you have 3 main constellations that say a huge amount about who you are.

Have you ever questioned someone's zodiac sign? For example, an aries who seems super emotional and seems to lack passion? Or.. A Pisces who doesn't seem dreamy at all and seems to think super rationally? Hmmm that might be possible because how we look at other people is not always who they really are. For this, our ascendant is often the one who provides an aha moment! Did you notice that I used the word “seem” a lot in our examples above? That's because I want to emphasize that word. After all, our ascendant is how we appear to the outside world. For example, I once did a little game with a friend of mine to see who could guess the constellations of TV characters the fastest. Funny enough, we were both sometimes wrong despite our astrological knowledge and that's because the ascendant usually comes up when we superficially get to know someone! So it's sometimes easier to guess a rising sign (the ascendant) instead of the zodiac sign itself.

Hence, we sometimes find that when we read a blog about our zodiac sign, it doesn't always seem to be right. Because as i'm trying to explain, it depends on much more than just your zodiac sign to describe who you really are!

The thing you would answer when someone asks you “what is your zodiac sign?” is actually our sun sign. It tells you what kind of character you have and how your identity ultimately expresses itself but, it also speaks about ego and behavior.

When we have a sun sign, we also have a moon sign. The moon sign is the sign of the zodiac that is in the place of the Moon at the time of birth. This is very interesting because this tells us about how you will experience your inner world. How you feel deep inside and how you will express your emotional side.

In a nutshell:

Sun sign (identity and character)

Moon sign (emotional side)

Ascendant / Rising sign (The impression you give to others)
